A documentary by Catherine Young & Luca Truffarelli
« One of the most compelling depictions of the refugee crisis to date. »
The Arts Review **** (about the piece State of Exception that inspired the film)
"Catherine was due to premiere her new work 'Floating on a Dead Sea' at Dublin Dance Festival 2020 - a piece to share her Palestinian encounter; an overwhelming experience of being lifted and held by the warmth, generosity and kindness of a people, in a place where nothing is normal.
With the premiere postponed, Catherine and her collaborator Luca Truffarelli now share their insights in a short film which looks at the body, space and dance in a place where freedom of movement is not a given.
